Business Equity COVID-19 Emergency Fund
Founded by a group of Coalition Partners that are all nonprofit business support organizations focused on supporting Black and Latinx businesses in Massachusetts. Coalition Partners include the FBE, BEF at the Boston Foundation, Amplify Latinx, BECMA, CommonWealth Kitchen, and the Boston Ujima Project.

The Fund:  The Fund provides flexible loans and crisis response support teams to Massachusetts-based Black and Latinx businesses with revenues of at least $250,000.

  • Loans – Funding up to $100,000.  Flexible loans may be used for working capital and other demonstrated business needs (e.g., salaries and wages, inventory, equipment, marketing, etc.)
  • Response Support Teams – Strategic advisors & crisis management expert consultants will partner with businesses to assess the existing and potential COVID-19 impact on their business, develop financial forecasts and scenarios, and co-create near and medium-term plans to mitigate COVID-19 impact (including how to leverage federal, state, and local government resources).

Eligibility:

  • Black or Latinx majority owned (51% or more) for profit small business in Massachusetts
  • Minimum annual revenue of at least $250,000

Application and Review Process:

  • Eligible businesses should complete the required application and provided the requested financials
  • Decision process will be executed within 30 days of receiving the applications
  • Not accepting applications at this time.
